Suspension

This Storm Jeep uses an Old Man Emu 4” suspension lift kit by ARB has undergone countless hours of engineering and testing.

4 inch lift is achieved by linear rate springs using X5K high grade steel tuned to provide compliant ride on road while maintaining off road performance.
Both front and rear Nitrocharger Sport shocks have vehicle specific valving tuned for optimal blend of ride control and comfort. Shock lengths have been optimized for maximum down travel while retaining factory drive shafts, brake lines and shock mounts. The Nitrocharger Sport Shock are the most advanced and innovative 4×4 shock absorber on the market. Designed by a dedicated team of OME engineers through an exhaustive vehicle specific development program, Nitrocharger Sport 4×4 shock absorbers deliver the best control, durability and most comfortable ride over all terrain.

To center and fine tune the location of the front axle, Old Man Emu has developed an adjustable forged track bar as a replacement to the original. A Hi grade 4140 forged steel adjustable track bar was chosen for it’s superior strength, durability and freedom to optimize design.

A rear Track Bar relocation bracket was developed to address the positioning of the rear track bar. This relocation bracket not only centers the axle but also raises the rear roll center to provide positive rear stability. Old Man Emu engineers have used Design Solid Modelling and FEA to ensure strength and durability.
A bump stop spacer kit is used to ensure a larger diameter tire is kept off the body work and optimizes shock extended and compressed lengths to allow maximum compression and rebound travel.

New longer front and rear sway bar links have been developed to correct sway bar alignment due to increased lift. The rear link is the factory style with two ball joints. The front link has an upper ball joint and the lower has a disconnect function using a greasable pin.

The steering damper has been specifically tuned for the Jeep JK to address front end wobbles initiated by anything from worn ball joints to out of balance large diameter tires.

Brake line relocation brackets have been developed to reroute factory brake lines to work with this kits’ extended shock lengths. A handbrake relocation bracket lowers the brake line mounting position to relieve stress on brake lines resulting from the higher ride height.

In addition to the Old Man Emu Kit, advanced geometry control arm drop brackets have been used. These durable drop brackets help reset JK control arm angles to a more natural and comfortable geometry. By reducing the operating angle of the front control arms, the force applied to the arm when hitting a bump is now directed up into the springs instead of being absorbed into the frame. These drop brackets allow the JK with 4in of lift to operate more like stock, with a more appropriate geometry to increase force on the front wheels. More force means more traction in straight line braking and reduced weight shifting and inertia when braking during a curve.

Exterior Enhancements

The stylish Rugged Ridge XHD modular winch bumper system has been used on the front of the Jeep. This modular design bumper is fitted with the high clearance ends for full width protection and hoop for additional LED light mounts. All bumper components are constructed of heavy-duty textured black powder coated steel with a tough E-Coat under-coating or polished, no rust, prime 304 stainless steel for the ultimate look! The tough finish will provide years of heavy-duty use. The winch platform perfectly accommodates a Warn Tabour 10-S winch with synthetic rope.

A matching Rugged Ridge XHD rear bumper has been fitted a complete the look and a Rugged Ridge HD hinged tyre carrier looks great and properly supports the larger tyres used.

Lifted suspension clear room for 17× 9” Satin black ATX series alloys wheels wrapped with huge Maxxis big horn MT Tyres with white lettering on side wall.

The factory headlights have been upgraded to Vision X Vortex LED headlights finished in black chrome. Legal and engineered for the UK market the Vortex LED Headlight also comes packed with an extremely powerful high-beam and a wide spread low beam. With such diversity in beam pattern, you can rest assured that you’ll have the right lighting for the right scenario at any given time. Equipped with a Halo LED Ring, the headlights feature a bright halo ring that can be active as a day time running light. Having a 7″ halo on the front of your vehicle will not only turn heads, but also provide you with the optimal lighting options for any situation.
Blacked out LED headlights by JW speaker not only look great, but offer a huge improvement to lighting.

Getting into the Jeep shouldn’t feel like climbing Everest. That’s why we fitted the automatic, electric-powered running board that instantly extends when you open your door, and then hides itself safely out of sight when the doors close for improved ground clearance, aerodynamics and appearance.

LED taillights and foglight offers enhanced beam patterns for superior performance over the standard halogen units and day time running light have been added to the fender flares. Additional Rugged Ridge LED cube lights have been added to the windscreen pillar and front bumper. These are controllable by switch panel in the car and have dual function. These lights are dual function providing powerful nighttime illumination on main beam and a secondary function cool-looking running lamp allowing you to be seen without blinding other drivers.

X-Ediiton Enhancements

The Jeep Wrangler X-Edition is based on the Overland Version but adds features such as unique body colour, grille with painted mid-gloss black colour throats, headlamp rings and badge and new dedicated decals.

In the cabin, the X-ediiton gets leather seats and a Leather wrapped steering wheel with white accent stitching and gloss white painted bezels.
The 6.5” Uconnect™, with satellite navigation connectivity and AUX/USB and NineSpeaker Premium Alpine® Audio System to help make the X-Edition just as exciting from the inside.
