Modified Suspension

Fitted onto this Jeep is an Old Man Emu (OME) 2.5” suspension lift kit manufactured by ARB in Australia. Comprehensive research and vehicle testing along with countless hours of engineering resources were dedicated to the development of OME suspension for the JL. The system fitted to this JL is the heavy load spring setup to cope with the HD winch bumpers, roof racks and additional cargo weight such as tents and camping gear.

Shock absorbers fitted to this suspension kit are Old Man Emu BP-51which is a user adjustable internal bypass shock absorber that delivers increased comfort and control; both on and off road. Adjustments of compression and rebound can be made to suit user ride and load requirements.

BP-51 shock absorbers are designed and manufactured in-house by ARB using state of the art machining and hard anodising equipment. The body of a BP-51 shock absorber is manufactured using 6061 anodised aluminium to dissipate heat more efficiently than steel or alloy steel and provide superior corrosion resistance.
Extensive dyno, real world and destructive testing has been undertaken during the development process to ensure that reliability, longevity and performance all meet ARB’s impeccable standards.

35” BFGoodrich KM3 tyres feature on Rugged Ridge 17×8.5” XHD Alloy wheels. These alloys are hub-centric wheels designed to exactly center the wheel over the hub. Providing the best fit possible and the proper clearance for brake rotors, steering components, and suspension. Better fit means no wheel vibration! A stainless steel button-head socket cap screws around the perimeter of the outer wheel face, giving it a great 3-piece look.

Exterior Off Road Enhancements

Front and Rear Rugged Ridge HD recovery bumpers features 3/4 inch D-ring mounts, Hi-Lift jacking points and provisions for parking sensors on the rear.
The front bumper houses a Warn Zeon 10,000lbs Winch with synthetic rope. The rear numberplate has been relocated from the bumper to the side of the body to avoid it ripping off when off road. The HD Rugged Ridge tyre carrier beefs up the rear tailgate suitable for handling the huge 35” spare with rear view camera integration.

A Safari Snorkel installed is designed to deliver a huge volume of the coolest and cleanest air possible into the stock air filter box. With the huge air flow demands of each engine in the Jeep JL Wrangler, Safari took the decision to design a snorkel system that raised the air intake to prevent ingesting harmful elements to the vehicles air cleaner.
Huge air flow is but one aspect of the ultimate in snorkel Jeep Wrangler design. The Safari snorkel air ram is designed to perform two very important roles. The most obvious is to funnel cool clean air into the snorkel body – but just as importantly, the Safari air ram acts as a highly efficient water separator to remove rain water from the incoming air stream – thus ensuring safe engine operation through even the most torrential tropical storms.

Protecting the Jeeps sills are beefy rock sliders by Rockslide Engineering. These rock sliders have a practical feature when the doors open, the steps automatically deploy from the sliders to provide a solid step that will drop down 12” below the Jeep and can hold up to 650 lbs, making getting in and out this lifted Jeep easy. This auto step function can be turned off for more serious off road excursions to avoid damage.

Protecting the undercarriage is Rival skid plates for the Engine, Transmission and fuel tank. Rival skid plates are made from deep stamped 6mm aluminium, these underbody armour offer both a lightweight and high strength solution for underbody protection, it’s an easy choice to protect underbody of your vehicle from rocks, logs and scrapes. Under the front bumper is a Rugged Ridge steering skid which is an incredibly strong body stamped from 4mm thick steel plate and features a unified fold-and-weld construction to deliver full protection to the factory crash bar and electronic sway bar disconnect components.

4 off additional LED cube lights on the pillars have been added using Artec Industries neat mounts.

Overland Ready

The Jeep Front Runner roof rack provides a functional platform with a wide range of uses from additional storage space to roof top tent mounting. The Front Runner mounting system bolts to mounting points on the roll cage. The cargo weight is evenly distributed across the roll bars and body of the jeep, placing zero weight on the hard top itself which would be unable to support larger weights such as the roof tents. This unobtrusive, high performance, nearly indestructible mounting solution allows you to quickly remove the Freedom Panels with the rack in place. On this Jeep we have used a Bestop sunrider where its function is not affected by the roof rack allowing easy access to open air freedom with the convenience of a roof rack installed.

Rubicon Off Road Capability

The Rubicon is equipped with the gear you need to take on the trails. Tru-Lok front and rear electronic locking differentials lock power and distribute it evenly between the wheels for ultimate traction during low-speed rock crawling. Pushing the dashboard-mounted sway bar button disconnects the sway bar and allows your front wheels to drop and compress, improving articulation. A heavy-duty 4:1 low-range transfer case delivers outstanding torque and low-speed control for impressive off-road performance. The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is also equipped with front and rear Dana 44 axles. The axles are beefed up with thicker tubes and forgings for superior strength, rigidity and durability.

Interior Features

The interior is where you will find major improvements over the previous generation JK Wrangler. Modern in every way, the interior of the JL Wranger raises the bar to new heights. Heritage tan Mckinley leather-trimmed bucket seats with accent stitching and Rubicon logo perfectly complement the black exterior, Leather trim heated steering wheel, new customizable 7-inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display and an available Uconnect® system 4C NAV with an 8.4-inch touchscreen with full Apple and Android connectivity , you’ll always drive in comfort and style. The Jeep also features optional extra technology pack which adds blind spot indicators and keyless entry.

Open-air freedom is at the heart of every Wrangler. There are big improvements all-around for the new Wrangler, including a new lightweight Freedom Top hardtop with easily removable roof panels.
