Storm Jeeps - STORM-11, 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2 Door 3.6L V6

Built on behalf of our client at Diablo, this one of a kind show stopping conversion was built by Storm Jeeps using the legendary Rubicon specification Jeep Wrangler. The Rubicon makes an excellent base vehicle as it features Tru-Lok electronic locking differentials, Dana 44 heavy duty axles front and rear with 4.10 axle ratio, Electronic swaybar disconnect, Rock-Trac 4.1 transfer case low range gearing.

Paintwork

Stunning professional re-spray with bright white Raptor protective coating by U-Pol.
Rough textured coating to vehicle body, bumpers, side bars.
Smooth coating to wheels, winch, lights, door handles and mirrors.

Raptor protective coating is:

Suspension

The Jeep utilised a high quality 3.5” lift suspension system by JKS. At the heart of any true Jeep suspension “system” are properly designed coil springs. Not everyone does the same thing with their Jeep, therefore you need a system that adapts to different terrain as well as on and offroad situations. By developing tuned sets of dual rate coils springs, JSpec coils provide the best performance in any situation. Whether loaded down with gear for a week long expedition, running light for some rock-crawling fun or loaded with a few friends for a trip to the beach, JSpec coils will provide the ride you want with the performance you need.

A great set of coil springs are useless unless you have a set of shocks to control them. When developing a shock to work in harmony with the JSpec coil springs we went with the best, FOX. The Fox 2.0 Evolution Series shocks provide a quality ride and complete control no matter what terrain you are tackling. The IFP (internal floating piston) design keeps the high-performance shock oil separated from the 200 psi nitrogen gas charge. This separation provided by the IFP eliminates oil aeration which basically means you can work these shocks hard and not experience any performance fade. Labeled with the popular “FOX” logo

In addition advanced geometry control arm drop brackets from AEV have been used. These durable drop brackets help reset JK control arm angles to a more natural and comfortable geometry. By reducing the operating angle of the front control arms, the force applied to the arm when hitting a bump is now directed up into the springs instead of being absorbed into the frame. These drop brackets allow the JK with 3.5in of lift to operate more like stock, with a more appropriate geometry to increase force on the front wheels. More force means more traction in straight line braking and reduced weight shifting and inertia when braking during a curve.

Other comments replaced include a JKS MFG front adjustable trackbar, JKS MFG front sway bar extensions, Front and rear brake line relocation brackets, Rear track bar relocation bracket, Front and rear bump stop extensions.

To provide an additional clearance for the 37” tyres a 1.25” rough country body lift was used.

Wheels and Tyres

Huge 22” x 9” Fully cast race proven KMC XD Rockstar 2 alloy wheels fitted with 37” x 13.5” Atturo Trail blade Tyres.

An AEV Procal module has been used to re-calibrate the speedo and gearbox with the oversize tyres.

Front Winch Bumper

The tough and stylish Smittybilt XRC M.O.D. bumper gives full width coverage, and houses the 12,000lbs Smittybilt electric winch. . The bumper is also equipped with D-Ring mounts that are welded on the inside and out that provides a towable anchor for off road recovery situations. The Modular front modular bumper allows many different combinations with bolt on stinger option for use when off road.

Winch

The new Gen2 series Smittybilt X2O 12,000lbs winch has been thoroughly updated with heavy-duty features for enhanced performance and comes with an integrated wireless remote. The new 6.6HP amphibious motor offers the highest torque in the industry and is connected to a 3-stage Planetary Gear System for increased pulling power and line speed. All Gen2 X20 Winches come backed by a Lifetime Mechanical Warranty and a 5-Year Electrical Warranty.

Rear Bumper and Tyre Carrier

Smittybilt XRC Atlas rear bumper perfectly fits to the Jeep Wrangler contours and provides support for the heavy oversized tyre and is height adjustable with cam-style pin adjustment ensuring perfect gate stowing.

Includes integrated jerry can and jack mounts solid mount for D-rings and it also features a 2” receiver hitch that can be used with compatible accessories design for receiver hitch.

Sill protection

Smittybilt SRC Side armour utilises a dual girder system that provides the ultimate protection for the sides and under section of the Wrangler. SRC Side armour provides protection as well as a step at the same time.

Styling

Monster grille and AEV heat reduction hood give aggressive style. Bushwacker extended flares give full width coverage and custom styling. Due to wider stance from the offset wheels and wide tyres, the Bushwacker extended flares keep the vehicle legal by providing extra tyre coverage.

With their recessed stainless steel bolts and massive presence, Pocket StyleFender Flares are a Bushwacker original manufactured in the USA. They’re custom-designed for the Jeep Wrangler to complement oversized tyres and high-clearance suspension.

Lighting

The factory headlights have been upgraded with Vision X Vortex LED headlights finished in chrome. Legal and engineered for the UK market the Vortex LED Headlight also comes packed with an extremely powerful high-beam and a wide spread low beam. With such diversity in beam pattern, you can rest assured that you’ll have the right lighting for the right scenario at any time. Equipped with a Halo LED Ring, the headlights feature a bright halo ring that can be active as a day time running light, without the low beam or high beams. Having a 7″ halo on the front of your vehicle will not only turn heads, but also provide you with the optimal lighting options for any situation.

Front fog light have also been upgraded to Vision X Optimus LED units. Neatly integrated into the front bumpers these light are E marked and have a day time running halo that work with the vehicles side lights.

Additional auxiliary off road lighting includes 2 full width roof mounted LED light bars, bonnet mounted LED light bar and 4 pillar mounted cube LED lights. All lights are operated from a custom build switch panel inside the Jeep. Combined together these lights provide an unprecedented level of illumination.

All lighting is from high quality manufacturers APOC industries and Vision X.

Dual exit full stainless exhaust system by Bola right up to the manifold features a patented straight-through and multi-core technology to unleash hidden horsepower.
